Anybody who possesses a key can use it to lock any room's door including its own. A player who's door is locked cannot leave its room and nobody can visit the player during the night. Nobody can open a locked door except a player with a key.
Character story: Locksmith's story is a story of a person who robbed a casino in Las Vegas 3 years ago. She specialized in cracking/opening safes and that's how she got a gig.
After a successful robbery she got plenty of money but couldn't use it just yet to avoid being tracked. She decided to setup a 5 years long operation to "wash dirty money" and make it legal and untraceable.
She also had to lay low during this time. That is why she moved to a small town of less than 100 citizens on the border between Nevada and California. This town was established by gold miners way back during the west gold rush but is mostly abandoned now. After spending 1 year in the rural community she found herself helping locals making one thing she knew how to do very well - crafting custom keys with locks for advanced security.
